Purple Panther Designs
opened in Hollywood in 1991 as a tattoo shop and art gallery. It has evolved over the years into a primarily "Custom" shop, meaning that most of the work we do is one-of-a-kind, designed specifically for the customer by one of our artists. However, we do still accept walk-ins, but it's always better to call ahead if you want work from a specific artist.

The Purple Panther prides itself on providing a clean, comfortable and visually interesting environment.

We provide both public and private facilities to better serve the needs of our individual clients.

The Purple Panther has been the subject of many articles in both tattoo magazines,
and mainstream media, including "National Geographic", "Stern", "Marie Claire", "Penthouse",
and a Discovery Channel documentary. Several commercials have been filmed here including the
"Carl's Jr." ad with Dennis Rodman. And yes, since we're in the heart of Hollywood
on Sunset Blvd, we have our share of celebrity visitors, too.
